Hello! Just thought I'd share this here to start getting the word out. I've been working hard with an app developer to get this dream to the public. This is an app where you can customize and make your own rosary at the click of a button. Free, no subscriptions, no ads. This is my way to give back because the Catholic community has blessed my wife and I with support of our very small Rosary business. This will be a way for people to make a rosary exactly how they want without the limitations of the real world keeping them from finding that unique Saint centerpiece, etc. And this will be useful for other rosary businesses and rosary enthusiasts to be able to design a rosary before going to the store to pick out beads for it. Please keep in mind this is very early in development. I am recording audio and working toward the next huge update which will add a prayer mode where the app will play through the entire rosary, zooming in and highlighting each bead and section as you pray along. The voice will be offered in English female and male voice options, with plans to eventually add Spanish and Latin, and more!
FUTURE UPDATES (example roadmap)
1.5 The next update in roughly 30 days will add the prayer mode, more music choices, more background images, and the ability to save multiple rosaries instead of the one autosave feature right now. Also a lot of refining of current physics and bead/string adjustment. More bead switching options.
1.6 Some new Chaplets like the Seven Sorrows, St Michael Chaplet, Stations of the Cross, Divine Mercy, and more eventually. Prayers will also have to be added for these different Rosaries. New centerpieces, beads, crosses, string types, more music, more background images. Organized menu tabs for all the different expanding options. Connection to online server to keep the app size from getting too big once it starts reaching 300MB.
1.7 More language support, prayer modes in Spanish and Latin. More of the above chaplets, addition of Orthodox Christian Chotki prayer rope. More centerpieces, beads, crosses, and string types again.
BIG PICTURE
This is still early on and basic, but hopefully enough foundation that people can see the vision and the direction this is headed. When this is fleshed out months from now, you will have thousands of options to make a rosary exactly how you want and pray it while you listen along or pray your real rosary next to your phone. This will be a great way to learn the rosary and to learn other chaplets while having some fun and tinkering around with how the rosary looks. Let me know what you think and what you would like to see in future updates. App development is very expensive; I am already $1,600 in, and I've been very thrifty with it. What I'll do, is if people want certain saints, bead types, etc. added in, they can make it a priority in the next update by donating and requesting. Or people can donate just to support us, or buy a rosary to support us. Or just share and get the word out. Either way, this will be a free app always, for everyone to enjoy.
