Usborne Books & More with Jen Welcome to Usborne Books and More with Jen. I love reading, literacy, and kids. Usborne gives me a great balance of all of those.

I have been thinking a lot about why I am in the business of selling books. I think at the core, it's that literacy matters. I come from a long legacy of literacy and education. My great grandmother went to college at a time when almost no women went to college. My grandmother is a college graduate and then was a school teacher most of her life. Three of her children became teachers. Some of her c

hildren (including my dad) went on for advanced degrees. And almost every one of my siblings either has a college degree (or advanced degree) or is working toward one. I think one of the big reasons why is because literacy mattered to those who came before and they passed that passion on to us. I want to do my part to help keep that passion going through future generations, both in my family and those around me.
