Couldn’t pass up a stop at the local charity thrift shop today - they do the best job re-staging the whole shop after the weekend and there’s always a line to get in when they open on Tuesday mornings. Missed out on an antique flow blue tureen but as always, still found a handful of things that I needed to take home!

Spent my birthday exactly how I wanted, a day trip that included wandering through The Big Chicken Barn - Maine’s largest book store / antique store in Ellsworth, hunting for treasures! It was harder to pick things out for myself since I’m so used to buying things to sell and looking for prices low enough to flip - but I still found some things that I loved and felt good about the prices, too. Let me know if you’ve been before or if it’s on your “to visit” list in Maine!

Successfully took about a month off from thrift shopping - it’s hard to take a break when you know people are out there finding amazing things every day but sometimes you just gotta chill out on buying and get your life organized 😆 Of course found a few cool things today, let me know what you would’ve picked up!

Decided to keep some of my favorite antique dishes (how about that flow blue and transferware) and display them above the wall of windows in my dining area! It was sorely lacking any color in the space and I thought it would be the perfect spot - this was such an easy task and I love that there’s no measuring involved, I’m definitely a Type B home project girl 🤣
