Community Baby Quilt / October 29th

What if we made something beautiful together?
On Thursday, October 29th, we're gathering at the Darby Library to begin creating a Goodie's Covey community baby quilt.
This won't be a quilt made by just one pair of hands. Over time, we'll add felting, quilting, paint and embroidery, creating something filled with little pieces of our community.
And because gathering around a table is always better with something warm...we'll share a mug of soup while we create and connect.
The class is FREE. Bring your favorite mug, I'll have a few extras to share.

Thursday, October 29
5-7 PM

You don't have to be an expert maker. Come as you are, pull up a chair, and add a little piece of yourself to something we're creating together.

Can you name this plant?
Once you do research the amazing way it helps our friends the Bees.
After taking the time to learn, Goodie will be planting lots more come spring!

Our Adventure Box was created to become a keepsake.
Not something enjoyed once and forgotten.
A place where seven stories can eventually come home together.
Feather. Fur. Fin. Wing.
And very soon...
Butterfly will be ready to take her place.

A chrysalis can look very still from the outside.
But inside?
Everything is changing.
Another example is Buckwheat for a cover crop and soil regeneration.
I think there are seasons in our own lives like that too.
Our Butterfly book is getting closer to emerging...
and I can hardly wait to share her with you.

Grandparents, I have a question for you.
What is ONE thing from your childhood you want your grandchildren to know how to do?
Bake bread? Plant a garden? Sew? Fish? Identify plants? Tell family stories?
Tell me below ❤️
Because passing those little pieces of ourselves forward is part of what Goodie's Covey is all about.

10/05/2026

Goodie's Covey began with memories.
Memories of children. Gardens. Animals. Plants. Recipes. Lessons learned along the way.
Then those memories became stories.
And those stories became wisdom I could pass on.
That may be my favorite part of all.
