The happiest of birthday wishes to my handsome son Bryson!!! This year has been full of growth and love for this young man. My boy is on genius level absorption. His love and kindness knows no bounds. He is a simple man like his father. He doesn’t need much. In fact all he wanted to do today was be with his big brother.

Bryson, I will never forget that morning you entered my life. The feeling of pulling you up from the water and into the world. Well because you were literally over 9 pounds 😂 I love you son and a pray for many more years with you ❤️ happy birthday stinka binka 🥳

Field trip!!! We took the kids to ⛲️ It was a much needed beautiful day outside. The sun was out and the breeze was blowing. Showing my kids God’s beautiful design is everywhere you go. How amazing our God truly is❤️

How did she turn 7 when I just had her today! She is the ultimate mother in our home. She’s caring, kind and loving. She’s one of the most determined people I know. Better yet that I’ve ever known. Best friend needed, she got you. Tears flowing… she’ll wipe those. Dance competition….she’s kicking everyone’s b***y. I’ve been blessed to be called your mother. I can’t wait to see what this year has for you.

Wow! So I just made it through the introduction of this book. I started crying. As a biracial black woman with 4 beautiful daughters this hit me. How misplaced we feel not just as homeschoolers but even in our own home. Even as I wear my hair naturally my daughters hair is not the same as mine. The times I’ve consoled them about it. The times they’ve begged me to straighten it. The times they even wouldn’t believe that I was like them. I felt it. I’ve been them as a young girl with a mother who didn’t look like me either. I will be devouring the rest of this book this week!!! Let me pull myself together after such a hard felt intro 🤎
