Most people think of October and get excited about all the fun Halloween things. Hayrides, trunk or treats, and trick or treating. All the fun orange, black, and purple decorations. But for some of us, we think PINK!
Pink for all of our moms, aunts, sisters, and friends who have been affected by breast cancer. Breast cancer had a profound impact on my life almost 15 years ago when my own sweet mom was diagnosed. There were numerous Dr’s appts, scans, surgeries, and ultimately chemo and radiation.
For the month of October I would love to be able to bless some of the patients locally going through chemo with gas, grocery, or restaurant gift cards. Chemo is hard. The infusion days are long and usually followed by some hard days.
I will be offering “together we FIGHT” shirts for $20 and a portion of the proceeds will go to purchase these gift cards to donate.
Many of you know Camille Welch. She recently learned that her cancer has come back and will be undergoing surgery on 10/28. I would LOVE everyone to wear their shirt that day, or wear pink in honor of her fight.
I plan to put each gift card in a card and write a note. I don’t know which patient will get them, but I pray that each card is exactly what they need. With that being said, if you would like to write a card I am happy to put it with them. 💕💕
