Calling all Shenandoah Valley friends with pups! Stop by and visit the Anicira Team at Stable Craft Brewery this Sunday, October 13th, from Noon-5PM for their awesome Barktoberfest event! They have a day planned with all of Fido's favorite things, including a costume contest, wiener dog races, a dog-safe peanut butter-licking competition, and more! ⭐Grants Make a Difference: Anicira helps area pets⭐ Mavin, Charlie, Toby and their owners will be forever grateful for Operation Free Pet Healthcare. Maven survived a life-threatening urinary blockage, Charlie endured surgery to remove a painful mass, and Toby had a major dental procedure. These are just a few examples of the dogs and cats aided by the Hildred Neff Memorial Fund, which supports agencies providing for the needs of domestic and wild animals.​​​​​​​​​The $5,727.25 grant to Anicira provided medical, surgical, and dental care to 80 pets, resulting in saved lives, reduced suffering, and the preservation of the bond between families and their beloved pets.
Twelve area nonprofits benefited from a total of $159,516 awarded from seven endowed funds. Grant applications for the 2024-5 cycle are in the review process, with awardees to be announced in November.

Earlier this year, our team met an anxious but incredibly cute kitty named Fenn. He accidentally fell from a 3rd story apartment and radiographs confirmed a fracture of one of his digits. A splint was placed and his little tootsie healed just fine with some medical TLC!

Mom says, "I am thoroughly satisfied with the prompt and thorough care of my cat after he suffered a fall from my apartment window. Staff are great at communicating and working with owners on providing the best healing environment for their pets. My cats and I are super grateful to Anicira."
