✨ Let’s Talk Jewelry Metals! ✨

One of the questions I get asked most is, “What’s the difference between all the metal options?” Here’s a simple breakdown to help you understand exactly what you’re getting!

💛 Solid Gold
• Made entirely of gold (10k, 14k, 18k, etc.)
• Will not rust or tarnish
• Safe for sensitive skin
• Designed to last a lifetime with proper care
• The highest quality—and the highest investment

✨ Best for someone wanting a forever piece.

🟨 Gold Filled (U.S. Standard)
Gold-filled jewelry is NOT the same as gold plated.

To legally be called gold filled in the United States, the outer layer of gold must make up at least 1/20 (5%) of the total weight of the item and be permanently bonded to the base metal using heat and pressure.

That thick layer of real gold makes gold-filled jewelry:
• Much more durable than gold plated
• Resistant to peeling and flaking
• Long lasting with proper care
• Great for everyday wear

⚠️ If you see jewelry advertised simply as “18k Gold Filled” at very low prices, it is often actually gold plated and not manufactured to the U.S. gold-filled standard. That’s one reason quality and pricing can vary so much.

🤍 Sterling Silver (.925)
Sterling silver is made from 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals (usually copper) to give it strength.

Many people worry when sterling silver tarnishes, but here’s the good news…

Silver reacts with sulfur compounds that are naturally present in the air, on our skin, and in everyday environments. This creates a dark surface layer called tarnish.

After a lot of thought and many emotional conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from offering permanent jewelry inside the salon at the end of May.

This was not an easy choice at all. I’ve truly loved getting to meet so many amazing people, celebrating special moments with you, and creating pieces that meant something personal. I’m incredibly grateful for every appointment, referral, share, and kind word along the way.

As much as I love this business, I’ve had to take a realistic look at what makes sense moving forward, and with interest slowing down recently, it felt like the right time to make this transition. That said, I’m very proud of what this little business has become and so thankful for everyone who supported it.

This is not goodbye to permanent jewelry completely though 🤍 I will still be offering permanent jewelry at pop-up events, markets, and private parties/events moving forward! So if you’ve been wanting to book a girls’ night, bridal party, birthday, boutique event, or catch me at a pop-up, you’ll still be able to shop with me.

I’ll continue taking salon appointments through the end of May, so if you’ve been wanting a bracelet, anklet, charm add-on, or matching set with your bestie/mom/daughter — now is the time ✨
