Myth #4 - Sourdough is healthier than regular bread.

Well…Sourdough can have benefits because the fermentation process may improve digestibility and can affect how your body processes some nutrients.**

It’s still bread…The ingredients and recipe matter, too.

Quality ingredients + long fermentation is what makes homemade sourdough so special.

** I have diabetes and this bread has not affected my numbers negatively and I know some that are celiac and they can eat my breads as well and not have as bad effects from it.

No…but the tanginess depends on:
-The starter
-How long the dough ferments
-Temperature
-The baker’s recipe

Some loaves have just a mild, rich flavor that isn’t sour at all.

It does take a little time to rise but that is supposed to take time…if it was too fast everyone would be doing it.🤪

Gonna be touching on a few sourdough myths out there…

MYTH #1 - Starter is hard.

Nope! It is a daily feeding for about 15-20 days BUT… you eat daily so what’s one more ‘mouth’ to feed. 🤪 This one doesn’t complain…doesn’t leave dirty dishes …doesn’t say I’m not hungry…

Super easy to do…

So…this project took longer than I liked but worth it. The bag was smocked and the name was spelled wrong. After talking with others about the best way to fix this…I pulled it all out carefully and embroidered the name over it… and it turned out great!
