The last time I was single, I was 18 years old… and at that young age, I made a promise to myself to stay true to my values.
Life didn’t turn out the way I expected and starting over in my 40s was definitely never part of the plan. But one thing I’ll never regret is knowing I can look back with peace, because I honored the vows I made ‘til the very end.
And while this could be the season where I’m just “having fun” and doing whatever feels good in the moment, I’m choosing (once again) to stay rooted in my core beliefs & protect the things I’ve always held sacred in my life ✨
So this is your reminder, sis: your heart and your body are NOT something to give away just to feel chosen & you are not a prize someone gets to win. You don’t have to fit into what this generation has normalized. It’s okay to be a unicorn🦄🙃
You are wonderfully made by your Creator. You are worthy of being loved with intention, respect and sooo much care.
And whoever truly understands that, honors it & cherishes it… can have the privilege of loving you. True love will never rush you. Please never, ever forget that!!!
