I can still hear my grandma raving about her grandkids on the phone to her friends. She was so proud of us and all the talents that we had (or that she thought we had!) I remember her telling everyone how I taught myself to play "Silent Night" by ear on the organ, and I will never forget how ecstatic she was about the giant peach (pillow) that I sewed in the 3rd grade for my project on "James and
the Giant Peach." I can vividly remember her teaching me how to tie a knot in the end of my thread. I loved all of the time that we spent in that little house on Ward Street. My husband bought me a sewing machine for our first Christmas together (was he trying to tell me something?), and it stayed in the box for a couple of years. I made a few things here and there, but it wasn't until we were expecting our first child that I dusted off the box and opened it up for good. I managed to make two boppy covers. :) When he was about 10 months old, I made him a costume for a contest in the county fair...mostly by hand. My machine hated me. The hubs bought me a new machine (that embroidered too!) the next month, and the rest is history. I started making more and more things for my sister who is expecting a little boy, and off I went...
That's how this etsy shop started. I just love to sew. I have a background in merchandising for a clothing retailer, so my artsy side loves this new journey! :)
All of my fabrics are handpicked, and everything is designed and sewn in my home. I am a police officer's wife and a little cowboy's mama, so my sewing happens when they allow it! :) I do my best to get items out in a fast turnaround time! I give all the Glory to God for giving me this talent and always try to please Him in all that I do. Thank you so much for supporting my business and my family.
