Bridal glam on one of the hottest & most humid days. 6am makeup, an outdoor ceremony, and an outdoor wedding in a gorgeous tent. Wedding venue was in a beautiful older castle with no ac just vibes. The makeup looks as gorgeous as it did when it was applied, just more lived in and glowy. So yeah, the makeup lasts

My Top 5 Makeup Items in no particular order plus one bonus item that’s super necessary for all makeup artists

1. ÉTOILE ÉTOILE.pro makeup artist kit. It’s a splurge but worth every penny because I think of all the times I had to repurchase a new one. It is the LV of makeup bags - that is all.

2. BK Beauty these brushes are another splurge but I can’t recommend them enough. They simplify your brush bag where you don’t need to keep 10 brushes for one things and allows you to get the most flawless makeup application

3. Dior Beauty Official backstage face & body. No notes ever. This foundation is perfect for everyone and as a pro mua you’ll know how much to apply for each client it can be super natural to full coverage.

3. Hourglass Cosmetics ambient lighting palettes are a treasure everyone should keep in their kit. It’s a beautiful finish and worth every penny. If you’re lucky enough to find their holiday versions snag two and thank me later.

4.These products create the ultimate glow recipe and I use it to prep everyone. I recently swapped the regular glazing milk for the highlighter one but either is a key ingredient.

Getting to do the makeup of my favorite author still doesn’t feel real. Meeting someone whose words have meant so much to me, only to find out she’s just as kind and genuine in person, was such a full circle moment.

We didn’t do a bridal trial but I did her makeup for her sister’s wedding in May. She wanted the same exact look except a few enhancements. We added more shimmer to the eyes and she wanted a bronzey look versus a blushy look. We went for soft bronzed summer glow and I loved how it came out!

Also this makeup look withheld the 100 degree weather with an outside ceremony 😏
