A little Wildflower life update 🌿✨

I wear a lot of hats around here.

Shop owner. Buyer. Retail manager. Designer. Merchandiser. Social media manager. Content creator. Accountant. Display mover. Box opener. Flower arranger. Dreamer. Problem solver. And usually about twelve other things before lunch. 🤍

And I truly love this little shop more than I can put into words.

Mixed Wildflower & Company has become such a beautiful extension of my heart — every corner, every collection, every candle, card, piece of art and tiny treasure has been chosen with so much intention.

But I’m also 61.

I have a husband I love, two dogs who think I belong entirely to them, a home I want to enjoy, people I want to spend time with, and a life outside these four walls that I don’t want to accidentally miss while I’m busy creating something beautiful inside them.

I really tried to make Sundays work.

But one day off each week simply isn’t enough for me to run this business well, stay creative, keep the shop feeling magical…and still have enough of myself left over for the life I’m working so hard to build.

So I’m giving myself permission to find a gentler rhythm. 🌼

Beginning now, Mixed Wildflower & Company will be:

✨ Tuesday + Wednesday | 10–6
✨ Thursday + Friday | 10–8
✨ Saturday | 10–5
🌿 Sunday + Monday | Closed

I’ll still be here late Thursday and Friday for those after-work wandering, girlfriend-meeting, gift-finding, take-your-time kind of evenings.

And Sundays and Mondays will become my little pocket of breathing room — for family, dogs, home, rest, inspiration, buying, creating…and maybe occasionally doing absolutely nothing at all.

I’ve learned that building the life of your dreams shouldn’t require disappearing from the rest of your life to do it.

So this is me choosing both.

The shop I adore.

And the beautiful life waiting for me when I lock the door. 🌿✨

Thank you for continuing to grow with me, cheer me on, shop small, and make this wild little dream possible.

Live bright. Give kind. And leave a little room to bloom. 🌼

🌸 Women helping women bloom 🌸

One of the things I love most about Mixed Wildflower & Co is the heart behind so many of the brands carried here.

Women-owned companies.
Purpose-driven makers.
Artists, dreamers, creators, and joyful little brands that believe what we give, wear, write, light, carry, and surround ourselves with can matter 💛

Brands like Jadelynn Brooke, Natural Life, Poppy & Pout, Chez Gagné, Kelly Rae Roberts and so many others bring more than beautiful things into the shop.

They bring encouragement.
Color.
Confidence.
Humor.
Hope.
A little reminder that we are allowed to take up space, chase joy, feel seen, and keep becoming. 🌿

That is what I want people to feel when they walk into Mixed Wildflower.

Not just shopping.
Not just pretty shelves.

But a place full of stories, kindness, creativity, and small joys gathered to help women feel seen, heard, understood, inspired, and celebrated.

🌸 Today, The Little Bloom Project blooms 🌸

Today I have the honor of delivering 20 Little Bloom Boxes to Dr. Justin Woods, Principal of Van Horn High School — and my heart is full in a way that is hard to put into words.

This little dream began with one simple hope:
to help a few students begin the school year feeling encouraged, prepared, seen, and celebrated.

Each box was gathered with care — filled with useful pieces, joyful little surprises, and quiet reminders that say:

You matter.
You are capable.
You are worth celebrating. 🌿

I am so grateful to the beautiful companies who helped bring this project to life: Jadelynn Brooke, Natural Life, Poppy & Pout, Chez Gagné, and Kelly Rae Roberts. Your generosity added color, encouragement, beauty, and heart to these boxes in such meaningful ways.

And from Mixed Wildflower & Company, this project was truly a gift from the soul of the shop — a way to pour kindness back into the community that has welcomed this little store so warmly.

Altogether, these Little Bloom Boxes represent over $2,000 in thoughtful back-to-school gifts for students, but more than anything, I hope they represent hope.

I hope each student who receives one feels a little spark of joy.
A little confidence.
A little reminder that someone is cheering for them as they step into a new year.

This is exactly the kind of beauty I hoped Mixed Wildflower & Co. would stand for — not just pretty things, but meaningful things. Joyful things. Heart-forward things.
