This quilt was made out of flour sack and feed bags back in the early 1942. My mother's Grandma and all friends way back work on the quilt top. Granny (my mother's grandma, Hannah Hughes) worked for the WPA. They made these quilts and then gave them to people who could not afford blankets. This is one that was never finished. I was lucky enough to be able to finish it for my Mom. I added the burgundy and green borders on it. Then I quilted it.
