Founded by Bridgette Palmer — an African American woman whose first journey to Africa transformed her life forever — Gateway to Africa was born from a deeply personal mission. For generations our community has experienced a profound disconnect from the traditions, craftsmanship, and heritage of Africa. This connection — once deeply rooted in identity and culture — was disrupted over time, leaving millions searching for a meaningful way to rediscover and embrace their roots.

We offer contemporary luxury fashion for women, men, and children crafted from authentic African textiles including Ankara, A*o Oke, and Kente cloth — handcrafted by skilled artisans in Nigeria.
