Please help us congratulate Shera Anderson for being September Employee of the month. Shera is from Elkhorn City, Kentucky but currently resides in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Shera is a Quality Control Specialist here at FIT, she's been with FIT for 5 years. Shera is always willing to help out co-workers and always has a positive attitude. During her time at FIT she's worked in different departments and has a wealth of knowledge that she's always willing to share and teach others. Shera is a dedicated team player and an asset to our FIT family.

In Shera's free time she loves to spend time with her family (including her 2 dogs Abby and Molly), camping, playing co****le and 80's rock music.

Help us welcome Laura!

Meet Laura Osborne, our intern at FIT. Laura is from New Market but now lives in Jefferson City. Laura is a senior at Carson Newman University getting her bachelors degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Finance and Economics. Laura is the Communications VP for the Student Business Leaders of Carson Newman. She is also the president of National Service Sorority Chapter at Carson Newman. Previously, Laura has worked in retail.

Laura loves to read, organize and enjoys the outdoors. (Picture taken while hiking the Appalachian Trail).

While at FIT Laura will be learning the processes of manufacturing. She is currently working with KJ Choi our Purchasing manager assisting him with inventory and data entry into our systems.

We are very excited to have Laura, she's a great asset to our team here at FIT!

This weekend FIT went to the Atlanta Shoe Market. This is one of the largest shoe shows in the US. Retailers come from all over the south to see new product. Our salesman, Alan, reports there was plenty of interest in our FIT boots. 🇺🇸🥾🇺🇸

We would like to welcome Eduan Estevez to the FIT team. Eduan is joining FIT as our Quality and Productivity Manager. Eduan comes with a lot of enthusiasm and over 20 years experience in the footwear industry, he is very excited to continue his passion for quality footwear with FIT.

When Eduan is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities and exercising. Eduan has only been in Tennessee a week, it hasn't taken him long to get his feet wet. 😛(Pic taken over the weekend while exploring East Tennessee)

On Thursday-Friday last week we had visitors. You probably noticed them.
Brian and Verun are from L&L Products https://www.llproducts.com. They are using recycled materials to make a range cushioning materials. They came to us to find out if their products are suitable for use in footwear.
They want to thank our production team for their support last week. They apologize for interrupting our normal work, but they were impressed by how helpful everyone was, as well as how enthusiastic. They said they had not realized how much skill it takes to make a pair of work boots. Special thanks to Mayo, Igxia and Sissy, as well as the lasting and Desma teams.
We are making 6 pairs of boots for their project. In August these will be shown at the Materials Shows in Portland OR and Boston, MA. These are the most important shows for the US footwear, apparel and sporting goods industries and are attended by all the major brands.
FIT boots will be on display at the L&L Products stand and everyone will know they are proudly made in Tennessee!

Hello everyone! My name is Helen Zhu. I am originally from Shanghai, China. I am a recent graduate of the George Washington University in Washington D.C this year, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Marketing Strategies & Analytics.

Throughout the one-month time interning at FIT, I am very grateful to everyone here for their enthusiasm, kindness, as well as great inclusiveness and tolerance of my lack of professionalism and workplace experience as a newcomer to manufacturing factory operations. And I still remember the Friday before Independence Day when our dedicated HR staff Kristin took her extra time to prepare a delicious BBQ lunch for all 80 people in the factory. It was the first time I had eaten so close to the production line, and when the supervisor of our finishing & packing department Susan filled my burger with full BBQ meat and handed it to me, I felt an unprecedented sense of caring and belonging to the FIT family!

I have learned the importance of comprehensive communication between workers and supervisors in different production steps, as well as ensuring the accuracy and error-free of each component of our footwear final products in order to improve overall production efficiency. I am super impressed by the great dedication and conscientiousness of every member of FIT to their work. And I am proud of FIT’s strong competitive edge in the market and its frequent receiving of trust-based orders from more customers. I sincerely wish FIT to continue to grow and prosper in the future. I am growing with FIT!
