Compact discs are making an unexpected comeback, with Gen Z fueling a surge in sales despite many younger buyers not owning a CD player. New industry data shows that CDs are now growing faster than vinyl, highlighting a broader revival of physical music formats.

The figures come from Luminate’s 2026 Midyear Report, which found that CD sales climbed 16 percent during the first half of 2026, reaching 16.3 million units. By comparison, vinyl sales increased just 2.4 percent over the same period. While K-Pop has played a major role in the trend, CD sales still rose 6.7 percent year over year even after excluding the genre from the data.

One of the biggest contributors was BTS, whose 10th studio album ARIRANG became one of the year’s top-selling CDs. Other K-Pop groups, including ENHYPEN and ATEEZ, also boosted sales through deluxe packaging, collectible photo cards, and retailer-exclusive editions that appeal to dedicated fans.

The wait is over. We're putting it in park...what a wild ride it has been, rolling through town in the record bus ("Guthrie"), sharing our love for vinyl with all of you. We love our wheels but our crates are officially overflowing and it's time to put down some roots.
We are beyond stoked to announce the official opening of our brand new Brick & Mortar store!!
Why you need to come see us at the new space:
1. WAY more crates to dig through; bus = 20 crates/shop=80 crates and still adding!
2. Weather-proof browsing (no sweating, freezing or getting wet)
3. Expansion of our inventory that we just can't fit on the bus!

ForeverMore is more than just a record store; there's lots of fun & cool items, there's vintage & collectible items, barware, smokeware, jewels, Louisville/Kentucky memorabilia and much more! We will also be bringing in some vintage electronics.
So, put on your crate-digging shoes, come talk music & find your next treasure! Not to worry, the bus isn't retiring but this is our new main stage and we're making some great plans for future events for both! One such event will be the "Double-Dig", so stay tuned.

Well they finally met...seemed to hit it off ok!
I am open Friday to Monday, noon - 7pm. However, I have events scheduled for the next few Saturdays so I will be closed.
Saturday, July 4th, I'll be at the Riverstage in Jeffersonville for the Back to Mac free concert.
Saturday, July 11th, we're rolling into J'town for the Big Pour. Soul Circus will be delivering an electrifying performance.
And to wrap up July, on the 18th, NuLu will be home to 'Guthrie' for the annual Summer Fest!
I am looking for a 'shop sitter' for these Saturdays so be sure & check back to see if the doors will be open!!
But there are three other days of the week that you can come check on the work in progress. Would love to have other human's input!
