This is a memory quilt made by Courtney. I love the colors in this one. She chose to have it quilted in a light pink and out a nice soft minky back on it. I love seeing the stitching in the minky!! Super cute!!

Every quilt has a story to tell and this one started out sad. This quilt was started by Elaine to gift to a sister. For whatever reason, it wasn’t getting finished and my client, Shirley, took the squares and finished it up for Elaine. Shirley gave the completed quilt back to Elaine and Elaine took it someplace to be long-armed (not me). It came out horrible (inconsistent stitches, skipped stitches, and the nightmare continued) and Shirley couldn’t let Elaine gift the quilt as it was. So once again, Shirley took the quilt and found my ad on Facebook marketplace. Unbeknownst to Elaine, Shirley came over and told me how she felt it was too nasty to gift to anyone. We talked at length and Shirley decided that she would rip out all the long arm stitching (not an easy task my friends) and she’d have me redo it. This sad story has a happy ending as everyone was so happy with the final result after I got it long armed and Shirley bound it. Elaine didn’t want to part with it at that point but she did gift it to her sister who loved it! ❤️

Heather did this quilt while traveling for kids’ games. Made from fabric she was left by her mother-in-law, she got it done in a year! It’d take me 10-20–if ever! This quilt is all hand-sewn!!!! It was an honor to long arm it for her.
