You post your custom gourd earrings for sale…

…and suddenly everyone becomes an art museum visitor:

“WOW 😍”
“So beautiful!!”
“You’re SO talented!!”
“I need these 😭”

Meanwhile the earrings are still sitting on the table like:

👁️👄👁️
“Girl… are we going home with somebody or not?”

These earrings have survived sanding, woodburning, sealing, indecisiveness, and three outfit changes for photos.

Me: “This hat just needs a simple little burn design…”

Also me 4 hours later:

Smells like I fought a campfire and lost ✔️

One line slightly off so now it’s a “design choice” ✔️

Hand cramped like I’ve been arm wrestling ancestors ✔️

Talking to the wood like: “pls cooperate, relative…” 😭

Meanwhile with spinner gourds:Me: “I’ll just burn a clean pattern and call it good.”Gourd: spins slightly wrongMe: “…okay so now we freestyle.” 🎨

By the end of it:✨ Covered in soot✨ Emotionally bonded to a vegetable✨ Lowkey proud but also questioning my life choices

And yes… someone will ask:“Can you make me one exactly like this?”

…no ❤️
