Two years ago today, we celebrated the grand opening of Boss Babes Boutique’s very first storefront. ❤️
What a journey these last two years have been.
There have been incredible highs, some really hard lows, and yes… cough cough… plenty of lessons along the way. 😉
But this year, we made a big change.
It’s only been one month in Kansas City, and I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever been happier with my business. Month one completely blew my expectations out of the water. The numbers shocked me, and inventory has been flying off the shelves so fast that it barely has a chance to make it back to Topeka!
Topeka, thank you. Every challenge, every customer, every lesson, and every obstacle helped shape Boss Babes Boutique into what it is today. Looking back, I truly believe those experiences taught me how to grow a business, find my confidence, and never settle for an environment that wasn’t bringing out the best in me.
I’ve probably said it a hundred times, but I think it’s important to be honest about the realities of owning a small business. The good, the hard, and everything in between. You never know who needs to hear that it’s okay to pivot if it leads you somewhere better.
It’s also my birthday month, which means we’re headed to market TWICE to stock up for fall and the holiday season because the demand has already been so incredible. 🤯
Someone recently told me they were proud of the empire I’ve built, and honestly… that one stuck with me. I spend so much time looking ahead to the next goal that I forget to stop and appreciate everything we’ve already accomplished.
Our goal is to continue growing our Legends location and, one day, come back to Topeka with a storefront that’s completely our own, built on our vision and on our terms.
To every customer, every vendor, every friend, every family member, and every person who has supported Boss Babes Boutique over these last two years—thank you. You helped turn a dream into something I get to live every single day.
