Featured Friday: Blue and Whites! The Second Act currently has a beautiful selection of blue and white porcelain and ceramic candlesticks, ranging from vintage treasures to newer pieces. Inspired by classic Delft and Chinoiserie designs, many feature intricate hand-painted details. This featured pair is especially unique—an elaborately decorated vintage set made in Italy by the renowned U.C.A. (Unione Ceramica Artistica) factory. Founded in 1937 in the town of Nove, in the province of Vicenza, U.C.A. was established by three artists. The factory became known for its glazed earthenware, decorative porcelain plates, and figurines. These candlesticks are collectible vintage pieces, valued for their artistry and craftsmanship rather than mass production. Although U.C.A. ceased operations in the mid-20th century, the town of Nove continues to be celebrated around the world as a center of exceptional ceramic artistry. Come and find them in the Second Act, downstairs at A&W Antique Mall.
