I was sitting on the toilet in the kid bathroom, which I don't use that often. I looked up and I saw something very peculiar on the wall. Upon further examination I realized my 6-year-old had tried to repair this door k**b stopper with toothpaste and cellophane tape. Points for ingenuity.

I have been unimpressed with the speed at which my zevo light attracts gnats so I have been taking this day to myself to swat at gnats with my zevo light to catch them. I've caught a lot to be honest but I got real curious as to what was killing them, the struggle, or special medicine in the sticky stuff. So naturally I whipped out my phone camera to zoom in and see if I could see if maybe they were getting their little faces stuck or ripping out their parts or otherwise. Do they stay immobile and alive? I still don't know. What I do know now is that my phone camera did a perfect 66x zoom?! What? So here's the pictures from this dull adventure.

I don’t have prom pics but I can share our elopement photos from May 4 this year. We planned to be married outside on the grounds of a beautiful cabin in Southern Illinois. It rained all weekend so we had to improvise just hours before and set up inside. It was just the two of us, our officiant and the photographer. I wouldn’t change it for anything. We exchanged vows outside in the rain and got some really romantic rainy wedding day photos.
Wow!! Thank you everyone! We were at a state finals track meet all day yesterday so it was impossible to keep up with comments. I can’t wait to have all our pictures back from the photographer. The rainy ones are my favorite.

Edited because I SHOULD have included my story along with my weird fact 😉 We bought a property in Old Town FL that used to be a hunting camp. They had a 12x20 Freezer to hold everyone's deer, boar etc... A few years before we bought the property the freezer stopped working and they turned it into a storage shed. They finished the inside (drywall, paint, carpet, outlets, ceiling fans etc...). We made that our living space for 6 months while we gutted and renovated an old gross trailer into our home.

We are about to watch the movie The Man in the White Van that is based on a true story that happened in Brooksville Florida in 1975.
We live near by and now are wondering if everyone was warned of white vans growing up or is that specific to our region? I never realized this warning I've received my entire life was based on a real story 👀

Last night when I took our puppy outside to go potty, he noticed this kitten under my van. So I took him back inside & grabbed a can of cat food & coaxed the kitten out from under the van & brought her in. She climbed up on my shoulder & hung out for a while last night. This morning she fell asleep on my chest while I was trying to get her to watch Oliver & Company with me (it seemed like a good movie choice for the situation). She’s very loved by the people in the house already. The puppy is very excited about her (but a lot for her!), the other dog is indifferent (he’s old & oblivious), the other cats…will get used to her. 🤷‍♀️
