Real Hats. Real Felt. Real Heritage.

This one right here is a piece of a different era…

A vintage Open Road from the late 1950s to early 1960s, back when hats weren’t made to hit a price point… they were made to last.

Back then, the “X” rating actually meant something within the brand.
A 3X or 4X wasn’t entry level—it was built with quality fur blends, tighter felting, and craftsmanship that’s hard to find today.

That’s why when you handle one of these, you immediately notice:
• The felt is dense, yet smooth
• It responds to steam without fighting you
• It holds shape without feeling stiff or lifeless

In today’s market, a vintage 3X–4X like this often performs closer to a modern 10X–20X hat—and sometimes even better.

This is the kind of hat that tells a story:
An era when the Open Road wasn’t just a style—it was part of everyday American life. Worn by ranchers, businessmen, and even presidents.

And decades later… it’s still here. Still wearable. Still sharp.

That’s not by accident.

This piece is in excellent condition and comes with its original box.

Available: $255

If you’ve never owned a true vintage felt… this is where it starts.

Real Hats. Real Felt. Real Heritage.

Ever picked up a vintage felt hat and thought…
“Why does this feel better than brand new?”

Here’s the truth most people don’t know:

A vintage 4X from the 50s–60s can outperform many modern hats labeled 20X… even higher.

Back then, hat makers weren’t cutting corners.

They used higher quality fur blends, tighter felting processes, and built hats to last decades not just a season. These were working hats for working cowboys.

That’s why:

• Vintage felt feels smoother
• Shapes easier with steam
• Holds form without turning stiff or brittle

Modern hats? Some are great but many rely more on marketing than material.

That’s why I focus on restoring and reshaping vintage pieces. You’re not just buying a hat, you’re bringing craftsmanship back to life.

Got a hat that needs a second chance? Lets us take a look, or reach out we may have one that suites your style.

Let’s bring it back.

TIP OF THE WEEK! FIXING SMALL DENTS

Ever ding your hat and end up with a small dent in the felt?

These are called pressure dents — and they’re pretty common on felt hats.

Here’s a quick way to fix minor ones:

• Apply light steam to the area
• Gently work the felt back into place with your fingers

If that doesn’t fully remove it, you can take it a step further:

• Use a thin needle to lightly lift and blend the felt fibers (very gentle pressure)
• Work the surrounding felt into the area to even it out

Then finish with:
• Light steam + brushing
• A small amount of stiffener to help it hold shape

That’s usually all it takes to bring it back.

Vintage 60's Beaver Hats 10X restored!

This one came in with a deep dent and Nap Damage after years of wear.

Most people would’ve passed on it or just thrown it away.... But this old felt still has lot's of life.

After a full clean and reshape, it’s back to being a solid, wearable and Restored beautiful Hat!! And guess what, for a lot less than what a modern 10x would cost you and will probably last you!

That’s the difference with vintage felt. They're just built differently.

👉 Would you wear it like this or go with a different crease?

🔥 1970’s Stetson 4X Restoration Project 🔥

This one came in tired, dirty, and flattened… but the felt is still VERY much alive.

These vintage Stetsons were built different — dense felt, great bones, and worth bringing back. This is exactly why I focus on restoring vintage hats instead of buying new.

This one is getting:
• Deep clean
• Full reshape
• Felt revival
• Final custom finish

Vintage hats deserve a second life — and this one is going to be a good one.

04/12/2026

There’s a reason vintage felt hats are still around 40, 50, even 60 years later.

They were made with higher quality fur blends, denser felting, and built to be worn daily.
Not just for style — but for work.

Modern hats can still be good…
but vintage felt was made during a time when craftsmanship came first.

That’s why we search for vintage hats, restore them, and bring them back to life.

Because great hats deserve a second ride.
