📢 Calling All Scottish Clan Members: Support the Grandfather Mountain Recovery Effort! 📢

Our beloved Grandfather Mountain Highland Games site, nestled in North Carolina’s Avery County, has faced devastating impacts from Tropical Storm Helene. While we are committed to hosting the 69th Annual Games next July, the damage from recent floods and winds has left us in need of support to restore key areas. 🌄

What Needs Immediate Attention:

• Removal of downed trees in MacRae Meadows and MacRowdy.
• Repairing critical campground electrical systems ($10,000).
• Restoring damaged roads, including the impassable Old Yonahlossee Road, vital for shuttle access.

Over the last few years, the Games have weathered numerous challenges, including pandemic shutdowns, tragic events, and infrastructure failures, with unbudgeted costs reaching over $400,000. To recover fully from these storms and secure a smooth 2025 Games, we need your help.

How You Can Help:
We’re asking all Clan members, Scottish societies, and supporters to contribute. Every donation, large or small, helps us and our community get back on track. Any funds exceeding our needs will be donated to the “Build Back Avery” fund, supporting local recovery.
