Day 1 of self employment! 🎊

I’m not going to lie. This morning I woke up and wanted to continue to sleep. I was feeling nervous AF and wondering “did I make the right decision”?

But I got up and started my day on a call with .photo and by the end felt a lot better. Even though it was just a work call, it made me realize that, yes I did make the right decision. I will get clients, I will make a name of my self and I will live a life with more freedom 🥰

As I’m sure all you business owners know, varying degrees of emotions are totally normal and expected when running your own business. I feel like if it didn’t feel like that, you wouldn’t really be all that invested into it 🤷‍♀️

After finishing my morning work, my boyfriend and I went out for lunch and did a walk around the channel. I find that so awesome I can do that on a Monday in the afternoon! Just one of the many reasons I took the leap and started my business. ☺️

We’ve all be there in parts of our lives when we keep putting something off. Something that could change our lives for the better and create happiness we only ever dreamed of. We keep putting it off because of fear, laziness, avoidance, or not feeling worthy, just to name a few.

What I’ve done in my life is, live a life I want to live, but only in my head. Just dreaming about it and wondering how good it would feel. But without actually taking any action towards living that life.

I’ve learned this last year that I couldn’t keep living the life I want only in my head. I had to take action!

However, I’m not a big go out and get em’ kind of person. I live in the shadows and take things at a comfortable pace. So when I saw this quote it really resonated with me.

And it cannot be more true. I wish I could show the me at this time a year ago where she is now and how happy she is finally doing something that makes her proud and about to live a life she only dreamed. I would have saved myself a lot of tears and feelings of dread about the future.

But having those feelings is what pushed me to the point of finally taking action. I implore you that if there is something that you’re putting off that will bring you joy and happiness, to take that small step to start the process! When it comes down to it, you won’t regret it! It will feel scary but anytime you’re heading in the right direction it feels that way.

I believe in you! You’ve got this! ✨

Let’s face it, the majority of us do not have recording studios in our homes where we can record our podcast in the best possible environment. So... we’ve got to improvise! 🤓

When you’re looking for that perfect spot, think a smaller room with things that can absorb sound - ✅ carpets, ✅ clothes, ✅ blankets, ✅ bed, ✅ rugs, ✅ soft furniture. A closet can do the trick for this OR think back to your childhood years and make a fort with blankets and set up your podcast recording gear underneath.

Who said podcasting couldn’t be fun too?! 😂

On the flipside, there are some places you’ll want to avoid:
❌Windows
❌Hardwood floors
❌Mirrors
❌Large rooms

Those things can cause the sound to bounce and echo which can create some issues in the audio.😞

Finding the perfect spot can save loads of time editing your audio! We all love to save time, so making a conscious effort to plan where you will record your audio will pay off in the long run.

I am so excited to share that I am officially launching my business and services as a Podcast Manager! 🎙️

If you don’t already know me, my name is Elise. I’m a born and raised Canadian living in Arizona. I love to travel, hike, and spend time with family and friends. Once you get to know me, you’ll see that food is my love language, and I am one of those people who says “dog” every time I see one - no shame here! 🙋‍♀️

I’ve been making the transition to working for myself for a few months now, and I’m thrilled that the time has finally arrived where I am taking on clients! 🙋‍♀️
