I started off by finding some bags on clearance and decided to modify them for my son's feeding pump. I made 1 for my son and 1 for a friend. I still had enough supplies to make 6 more so I modified a 3rd to sell to get back some of the money I put into it. There was a demand for more. My friend @ Lil Twinkle Tots ((page) She makes awesome g-tube pads) found some more bags on sale and bou
ght 4 more for me to modify. I posted them on a FB special needs site and they got attention. I have searched the internet looking for more bags and have found some bags that I am excited to get and try out even for little ones as small as 12 months. I figured opening a page that I can listed all the pictures and bags I have would be easier to keep track of than listing other places. So this is where we are now. As I find good deals and can afford it I will buy bags and modify them and post them here for sale. These bags are mostly listed $5-7 above my out of pocket cost to cover my time. I am not looking to make a fortune on them, just thought it would be fun thing to do. Prices are calculated by the cost of the bag + the cost of the supplies (2 different size grommets, thread, elastic, and Velcro) + shipping averaging $5.50-$6. 1 bag weighs around 13oz on average. The grommets are $12.99 for 8 for the big and $10.99 for 8 for the small. Sometimes I can offset this cost with coupons. Depending on how much I paid the cost per bag is no more than $4. Then there is paypal costs and I factor in $5-7 for my time depending on how long it took me to make it. Most are 45-1 hour some bags have taken longer. Just wanted to give everyone an idea of where I am coming from with pricing. Most of the bags I have found in stores have been between $12-17.50. As I get better prices online I will offer better prices here. If anyone has any suggestions for anything they think would work let me know. I have bought several homemade bags from different people over the past several years that I have loved. Most have closed their pages now which was what led me to make my own in the 1st place. :-) Also Through Lil Twinkle Tots there is the option to further customize the bags with embroider names as long as the bag fits the machine. I have to double check with her and don't want to post wrong.
