I learned about the SOCIAL ANIMAL from bsky.social & poured one last night. Recipe is below.

The glass is a 100-year-old American Brilliant Cut Glass (ABCG) tumbler. The heyday of ABCG in the USA spanned from approximately 1876 to 1917. Changes in aesthetic tastes and cheaper production processes post-WW1 saw a decline in interest in ABCG, and the industry had all but disappeared by the 1920s.

SOCIAL ANIMAL*
2 oz. bourbon**
1/2 oz. Tempus Fugit crème de banane
1 barspoon walnut liqueur
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

*Recipe: Tony Roehr, Raised by Wolves, San Diego, California
** I made one with Michters, one with Elijah Craig. I liked the Elijah Craig better.
