COVID-19 cases continue to decrease across the United States, but the overall level of community transmission is still high. The current 7-day average of daily new cases is 73,079, a 15.1% decrease from the previous 7-day period. Getting vaccinated is the best way to help prevent COVID-19, especially severe illness and death.

If you aren’t vaccinated:
· Get vaccinated.
· Wear a mask over your nose & mouth.
· Stay at least 6 feet from others.
· Avoid crowds & poorly ventilated spaces.
· Wash your hands often.

"Los Angeles is poised to become the first major school district in the U.S. to mandate coronavirus vaccines for students 12 and older who are attending class in person. The school district is the second largest in the U.S. and the mandate could set an important national precedent."

The Board of Education is expected to pass the measure in a vote on Thursday.
