Some of you may know that today is my husband’s and my anniversary. Every year except for this one we have married each other again. I should be sad that we’re missing it and of course there’s a part of me that is. Most of me is just grateful though.

Grateful that my family is safe and healthy. And super grateful to all of you!

Thank you❤️
To the American woman who lives in Paris now and just sent me an Amazon gift card right when I’m starting to run low on my stash of cotton fabric. You made me cry actual tears of joy!

To the lovely lady who brought me plastic coated garden zip ties just in time for me to insert them in the bridge of the masks and get them out to a woman who’s worried about her daughter who has to travel.

To them beautiful soul who dropped off amazing super hero fabric that is sure to make a little kid in a scary situation feel just a little more brave.

To everyone who has sent me kind, supportive messages that put a smile on my face😄

To my friend Rosina Rothman Creative & Branding who is helping put together PDFs so I can share the patterns I’m using and more people can make these masks more easily.

To my daughter who has cheerfully decorated drop boxes for those picking up and leaving supplies. Who understands the seriousness of the situation, never complains and always looks for ways to help. You are an amazing soul my little Ali 💖

Especially to my husband Adrian who has spent our anniversary filming me sewing for a tutorial, edited it, is posting it on YouTube and who always makes sure I’m fed while I work. I love you more than I can say every single day❤️❤️❤️

Sending love to you and yours💛
Danyette, Adrian and Ali too

I am moving all my mask updates and new tips and tutorials to my new page One of Wonderland! That way my ONE of ONE Couture page can go back to being fantasy gowns when the time comes🙂 Looking forward to continuing to share helpful sewing tips and also uplifting stories from mask recipients on my new page!

💫Update: I will only be making masks for donation to nurses and healthcare professionals for the time being! I am not selling them. I’m just trying to get them into the hands of the people who need them most as quickly as possible. Thank you for your fabric donations that have made this possible! And thank you for your understanding. 💛

Here is the link to my walk through video with the simplified steps I've been using to create batches of masks! https://youtu.be/2LuVrws3Mzw
Thank you to my friend Rosina with for getting my updated patterns into a more easily printed format! Print them on 8 1/2” x 11” paper and scale to fit. Please check the 2” size reference on the sheet after printing to be sure it’s sized properly. Good luck and thank you for looking for ways to help in times like this!❤️

First of all thank you!!! To all of you out there caring for others and in need of protection. Thank you❤️ I will be making these about every waking hour until they aren’t needed anymore.

💖Please share so others who would like to can do the same!

💫UPDATE: Thank you for your fabric donations! I am currently focusing all of my efforts on making masks from it and my stash to donate to healthcare workers!
I am making double layer cotton masks with filter pockets and metal at the bridge of the nose. I’ve had so many requests that I am already backed up with orders. I am making them at cost for medical personnel just so that I can keep buying supplies and making more. Supplies are obviously harder to get right now so if you live in Vegas and have any of the supplies listed below and would like to donate or trade for masks please comment on the original(not the shared) post. It would be very much appreciated!💛 If you are in dire need of masks please let me know and I will add you to the list. I will personally sew as many as I am humanly capable of!

I thought I would share what I’m using in the hopes it will help others who are also able to sew! Let’s band together to help protect each other!❤️❤️❤️

Supplies:
✨Tightly woven quilting cotton
✨Cotton Flannel (optional) it filters better than cotton but is also hot and harder to breathe through. Best for those who have no filter to insert and don’t mind being a little uncomfortable in order to possibly be a little safer. (Some hospitals do not want flannel as they are layering over their masks to try to extend the wear)
✨1/4” elastic or 1/16” round beading elastic
✨Twist ties preferably heavy duty plastic coated to help shape the nose and create a better seal. Garden ties that can be cut off the roll seem like a good option if you’ve got some
✨(optional) filters or felt that can be used for filters
💛Ziplock bags are also helpful for bagging them up when done

The version that has a pocket open for inserting filter medium has been requested by medical personnel! I am slipping metal between the layers at the bridge of the nose and then sewing a seam around it to secure. Inspired by surgical masks and also requested by medical personnel.
✨For a step by step walk through please check out my video on YouTube. I hope it helps answer all your questions! https://youtu.be/2LuVrws3Mzw

⭐️Disclaimer: I am not in the medical field! I am just listening to what is being asked for by those that are. These masks come with no guarantees of any kind! If you pick up from me please WASH them on HOT to sterilize them before using! I am prewashing all my fabric on HOT and we have been locked down in isolation since Friday the 13th of March 2020 but please don’t take unnecessary chances! You must use your own discretion, do your own research and consult those best qualified. You are responsible for your own choices. I am sharing the best information that I have available in the hopes that it will be helpful but I am a designer and a seamstress NOT the CDC. Sending love to you all❤️

I rarely share pictures of my sketches but I was looking at my photos and realized how well this mirrored my sketch and just had to share! This was a sketch for myself so it’s pretty minimal but I think a good representation of the final product. What do you think?
If you have an event and would like to have me design for you please drop me a DM or email me at [email protected]

I adore making my clients fantasy dress dreams come true! I feel so blessed to be a fairy godmother to so many amazing brides and clients. Each one of their dresses may be very different style-wise but one thing remains constant, their desire to be treated as the very special and unique individual that they are. This is why I always strive to have their dress creation be the most magical and stress free part of their wedding or event planning!✨

Photo is of me during filming of a short film for Pirate Fest Las Vegas when I had the pleasure of being Queen of the Fairies! I can’t wait for Pirate Fest Las Vegas in April and to be able to share more details from the shoot! There will be a prescreening of the film at Millenium Fandom Bar in Las Vegas on Feb 13 from 7-9pm. Hope to see you there!

That moment when you realize that the quest to make your workspace look more like Wonderland may be getting a little out of control!😂

As I was prepping my lovely little home studio for the upcoming bridal season I ran across the sweetest thank you note from my gorgeous client Krystalyn! I just had to share an excerpt because it made my day all over again!
“My dress was more beautiful than I ever could’ve imagined. Everything about it left me and my new husband speechless. You guys have found new friends after this eight months of making my dress. Thank you again for bringing your energy and positive vibes with you on our special day. Love Krysta & Phil”

What a fantastic way to start the day!💙

These boys brought it for day 2 of Stan Lee Super Con in Riyadh! Had so much fun hosting panels and making friends! I truly can’t wait to visit Saudi Arabia again. The people, the coffee, the tea with na na (hmmm did I spell that right? It means mint!), the smells of incense, ho**ah and flowers. I miss it all already but it’s joyful smiles on the faces of the friends I made that I’m missing the most!

Heading out on an adventure! I won’t be easily reachable for the next week and a half or so!
