Valegro and Uthopia were put down, together.

They were both champions, golden horses, friends. I'm curious on why the 23 and 24yo stallions were put down together. Did both got injuries or extreme bad health conditions that required both to be down? If one was healthy and the other one no, is it moral do put both down so you don't deal with grief? Or is it just marketing to keep their genetic prices even higher?

23 - 24yo is not that old for a horse, specially if you have 5 star treatment.

Does the Akhal Teke’s coat really shine or is it an illusion?

One of my most recent YouTube channel "discovery" as you might say is this lady's channel: The Science of Raising Horses. She quite often dive into horse's genetics and healthcare, bringing answers to a lot of equestrian questions. As a horse enthusiast and also big fan of science, this type of content massages my brain while watching it.

For that reason I'd like to share with you one of her most recent videos about the Akhal Teke coat. While still missing a clear 'how', she guides us to a couple of strong hypothesis.
