Happy Friday...🤎

I love to layer pieces in my decor. This side table in my dining room shows different ways I have layered. I used old books as a riser for my lamp. I layered my florals with a basket and a vintage Ironstone platter. The pedestal bowl holding my florals is one of my favorite Ironstone pieces that I have. I thrifted that piece a few years ago for $3!!!

Happy Tuesday..🤎

One of the new things that I want to do on this page is to show simple DIY's. This is my second one so far for the fall season. I decided to make a simple fall garland for my dining room hutch.

This DIY is super EASY..everything you can get at Dollar Tree or Walmart. All supplies are pictured.

I decided to color my wood pumpkins with chalk. You could use any color chalk. The good thing about using chalk, I can wipe it off and use the pumpkins for another project later on if I wanted.

I think it turned out cute, just a simple fall touch.

Happy Monday..🧡

A few weeks ago I shared some of my recent pieces that I picked up on our trip to Nashville. One is an antique sewing drawer and the other is an an antique telegraph box. I wanted to show how I have used them in my fall decor.

I filled the sewing drawer with pumpkins and used the telegraph box as a layering piece to display a couple of pumpkins.

I always try to think of different ways to use my finds other than their original intent. I think it just adds more charm to your home.

Happy Friday...🧡

Today I wanted to share more of the details of my fall fireplace. This year I wanted to use a lot of my vintage book collection and layering. I love to layer my decor.

I have 3 new pieces, but everything else are pieces that I already have. You don't have to always buy new decor, you can definitely use pieces that you already have, but use them in different ways and areas of your home to create a whole new look.

Happy Thursday..🧡

My foyer hutch is another favorite piece of mine that I love to decorate. I have said before how I like to incorporate meaningful pieces into my decor. My grandmother collected bells and when she passed away, I was given her bell collection. These two bells are my favorites of all the bells. I use them in my everyday decor, but I especially love them with my fall decor.

The cotton stem sticking up from my books was given to me by my neighbor. She grew cotton one year and wanted me to have a piece. I love using it with my vintage books.

The vintage violin case leaning to the side of the hutch was also given to me by my neighbor. One of my favorite pieces.

My hutch is one of my favorite pieces to decorate. Once again almost every piece is thrifted. Another example of not having to spend a lot of money to make your home beautiful.

I love to thrift for most of my home decor because I feel it makes your home more unique to you.

My fall decorating has begun..I'm on Day 3. I'm hoping to be finished today. I do decorate early because I decorate so early for Christmas.

Almost every piece in this picture is thrifted. I love to show how to decorate on a budget. I think this is my favorite fall fireplace that I have done.
