Learning a new craft is an odd thing. I used to think my attraction to various pursuits was simply a result of being a Gemini. But when I decided to learn chainstitch embroidery, I had no clue how tough it would be. Now that I've reached a level of skill I'm happy with, I've found myself on a quest to discover what truly makes me happy.
I enjoy doing monograms, handling live events, and creating custom pieces for clients. Making things I love and selling them, collaborating with fellow artists, and even selling my own artwork to galleries and hotels - these are the things that excite me. As I've grown older, I've realized life is too short to waste on things I don't enjoy. It's no longer about the money; it's about how I spend my time, channel my creativity, and live my life.
I'm proud of myself for mastering this skill. I love being a chainstitch embroiderer, and I can't wait to see what kinds of things I make in the future.

Little did we anticipate, all those years ago when we stumbled upon this enchanting place, that it would become an annual pilgrimage. Yet, thanks to the benevolence of Jon's family and the quintessentially English affinity for the embrace of the familiar, we find ourselves drawn back time and time again. It has become the place where we can all reunite and relax and it brims with the memories of our families and friends uniting and intertwining, a melting pot of shared laughter and indelible connections. It is a little slice of heaven and we have begun counting the days until our return.

We once got given the nickname “the smilies” by our Pilates instructor (thank you ) because even after killing ourselves in her class, we would always leave with a smile on our faces. The fact of the matter is this seems to be the case no matter where we go or what we do. This photo was taken after one of the longest week of our lives and we were still smiling. I figure why be grumpy? Does complaining make it easier? No! I don’t think it does and if anything it just annoys everyone around you. Lol. Smile and you will soon find something to smile about.

When I was younger, I used to hate it whenever people would tell me, "You look exactly like your mom." But now, I realize how incredibly fortunate I am, and it's become the most wonderful compliment I can imagine. Happy birthday, dear mama, I look forward to catching glimpses of you in the mirror.

The day after my bday is not my bday, but it has certainly become a time for reflection. My mom’s bday is tomorrow and it’s the first one I’ve ever had without her here. Her death has stirred something within me, and over the past six months I feel like I have changed more than I have in the past 16 years. The path to our future has never been clearer, filled with meaningful experiences and an unapologetic embrace of authenticity. I no longer possess the patience I once had for meaningless drama or wasting my precious time and energy. Life is a fleeting dance, meant to be lived on my own terms. I have learned to trust my instincts and follow my intuition. That it’s okay to say no. To not answer a text. To turn my phone off. Shut the door. Change my mind. Leave without saying goodbye. Take time for myself. To retreat into the sanctuary of my own space. The journey inward has led me to discover my inner peace, and I will fiercely protect it with every ounce of my being. 💛

One of our favorite moments from was handing out 🤍 From the looks of confusion as to who we are, then the smiles and laughs when they read the hats, then the question of how much they are and then the face when they realize it’s a gift! It’s the best 2 minutes ever! 🤘🏼 📷 by
