weekends i like to sew for myself or family. after sending that lovely caftanout the door yesterday, i decided i needed one for myself. it is beach season after all! this batik has been sitting in my stash for some time, because its edge was cut off, and the direction was wrong and I just couldn’t get it to work for anything. It technically doesn’t work for this because it doesn’t match front to back really. But for a quick stash buster and a great way to cover up at the beach it does the job.  plus a fat quarter added the great contrast neck line and the very important dangerous pocket.
