I have a love/hate relationship with AI. It is a valuable tool, but it’s also just a tool. However, I like seeing how my fascinators would look on actual models in track or race day settings (not just me in sweats with no makeup, holding up a ring light to view it from all angles in the mirror!), so I thought I’d share some.

Note, I’m only posting the images where there are NO changes to the fascinator, it’s part of my prompt. There have been a few where the AI made changes, and while slight, I felt they were challenging the integrity of my original design. I won’t post any of those.

What a vision this rush order for a repeat client turned out to be!

She needed a fascinator that would work with both pink and red dresses, so we landed on a combo of hot pink, coral and red feathers for a breathtaking Derby look.

So fun bringing this one to life.

I’ve had a few questions about the Hat Mess Trunk Show & Fascinator Fix-Up coming up on Saturday, April 12, from 8 AM to 2 PM at 8701 Timberline Drive, so here’s a quick rundown:

1. How much are the fascinators?
Prices start at $10+. I’ll also have individual feathers, flowers, netting, and headbands sold separately if you want to build or improve your own.

2. Can I bring my own fascinator to fix up?
Yes. Whether it’s one you bought online or from last year’s Derby, we can help you refresh it with new trim, feathers, or structure.

3. Should I bring my dress?
Yes. If you want to match colors or coordinate your look, bringing your dress is highly recommended.

4. Will you have custom fascinators?
Yes. I’ll have a selection of finished, one-of-a-kind pieces available for sale and will take a limited number of custom orders.

5. Where and when is it?
8701 Timberline Drive, Louisville, KY 40291
Saturday, April 12 | 8 AM – 2 PM
