In case you missed it, last week I restocked Drawstring Bucket bags on my website: nonapearlcreations.com, including one in this sweet Strawberry fabric.

Drawstring Buckets are part large yarn bowl and part drawstring bag. They have one sturdy handle for carrying, and two drawstrings to cinch the bag tight. These are BIG bags, perfect for sweater makers! They can also be conformed to be used in several ways!

The drawstring top can be folded into the bag, or around the outside to create a yarn bowl (giving approximate dimensions 9"x6"x6.5"). This is perfect for knitting on the couch or around a table, when you don't want your yarn rolling away.

When the drawstring top is extended it nearly doubles the volume of the bag (approximate dimensions 9"x6"x11.5"), and is then capable of holding up to 10 skeins of yarn, or 4-5 skeins and a medium/large sized project like a big shawl or sweater, and an assortment of notions. This is idea for taking your project on the go.

These bags also feature one flat interior pocket (great for patterns, rulers, or scissors) and one zippered interior pocket (perfect for small notions) and a base fabric of Waxed Cotton Canvas.

Find this bag in several other prints on my website!

Happy Birthday to my absolute GEM of a husband. He makes everything about life better. He's kind, and loving, and the hardest worker you will ever meet. He's the best dad, and my best friend!

If I could capture summer in one delicious fabric print, this would be it! There is something that makes me absolutely giddy about enjoying a sweet strawberry right after it's picked.

You can pick one of these darling little zipper bags from my website: nonapearlcreations.com.

This compact pouch will hold a skein of yarn and a small project, plus a few notions. It's a great bag for a hat, socks, or even the start of a shawl. It has a grosgrain ribbon handle, and a fun coordinating green interior fabric.

In case you missed them...

If you don't get my monthly newsletter, you might miss new bag releases. These sweet fabric prints came out this summer in snap sacks XL and drawstring bags.

If you're a flora or fauna-phile then fabrics with flowers and fungi and felines are the perfect fit. (That's some fabulous alliteration!)

Find these and more on my website, and while you're there sign up to get my newsletter. I promise not to spam. (If we're being totally honest, even a monthly newsletter has been a stretch for me lately. LOL!) But you'll still be the first to see any fun, new products I add to the shop.

Woohoo! It feels so good to finish a project.

ln May of 2025, I picked up three skeins of gorgeous, light purple yarn from the in Bainbridge. It was in a blend I had never seen before: Merino, Linen, Silk, and Cotton - their Cottage Fi*****ng. After a quick scroll through Ravelry, I decided to make the Salty Air Tee by Samantha Guerin. I cast on in September of 2025 and would work on it during my son's homeschool co-op classes.

Nearly a year later, and it's finished! I'm not getting the same amount of knitting time as I used to, so it feels pretty good to get a WIP off the needles.

If you're looking for a tee that isn't too hard, but has a beautiful yoke, I highly recommend this one.

I love to save all of the strips from cutting fabrics over the years for the days when the crafting bug hits. I made these four quilt blocks last week. Each one is about 18" square.

Now I need inspiration! Should I sew them all together and make a baby blanket? Should I store them until I can make other blocks in purples, pinks, reds, and browns to make a bigger blanket? Should they become OOAK zipper bags or pouches?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Bonus question... if you sew, what do you do with scraps?

This fabric has been patiently waiting to become drawstring bags and snap sack XLs for a long time. I'm SO excited that today is the day!

The colors are perfect for fall, and all of my ginger cat lovers are going to swoon at the boopable noses and toe beans featured on this print!

Stay tuned for an upcoming release date!

The thin white floral outline on black background is so elegant. And if you're one to match your bag to your project, this one is like a little black dress - it goes with everything!

Do you have a zipper box bag? These are essential for stitching on the go. There's plenty of room for your project, an extra skein of yarn or two, notions and patterns. These boxes are compact, but can hold so much more than you would expect!

This one features a sweet floral print with hot pink edging and lining. You can find this and others on my website: nonapearlcreations.com
