TLC Student Funds

TLC Student Funds TLC Student Funds is a 501c3 Charitable Organization that provides funds to the educators of the Marshfield School District for at risk students.

Why was TLC formed? TLC was formed as a result of teachers and counselors describing student needs. Their anecdotal descriptions included a youngster who had no breakfast or dinner the day before because, "it wasn't his turn to eat", a new junior high student who couldn't afford a back pack and other supplies for special educational projects, a large student that coats in the SOS clothing closet w

ere too small, no funds from home to participate in field trips, classroom Christmas parties and Valentine parties and the list goes on. It is the intent of TLC to provide funding to existing programs, and to expand programs to include all Marshfield public schools K-12 through greater community participation and corporate grants. Under ideal circumstances, parents are able to provide for their children. However, there are those parents who have fallen on difficult times, made poor choices, or are simply overwhelmed and are unable to meet the needs of their children. Whatever the reason, the children should not pay the price. If we, as a community, fail to address the problem and allow school children to go hungry and unable to participate in normal school activities, we will have another generation with the same problems. Our teachers and counselors are willing to provide these children a different vision....TLC will provide the funds.

It’s that time of the year! The Marshfield Elementary Spring Bookfair! Every elementary student Pre-K to grade 3 gets to pick out their own book to keep. TLC Students Funds, Arvest Bank and the John Wallis Dickey Family Foundation provides the funds for this event. A truly joyous event. The excitement and positive energy is a blessing to those who observe.

While you are making your year end donations, consider TLC Student Funds!
What has TLC Student Funds spent funds on in 2023?
Clothing, school supplies, activity fees, hygiene supplies, jr high band reeds and books, unpaid lunch balances, emergency shelter and food.
Students are eligible for TLC’s help if they are eligible for the free and reduced lunch program.

Thank you Marshfield Area Community Foundation!!! TLC Student Funds received $500 grant in September and another $500 grant in November.

TLC Spring Bookfair Project. This was the second year for TLC to participate in the Spring 2023 Scholastic Bookfair. All free/
Reduced lunch children from Early Learning Center, Hubble, and Webster were given a voucher for $10 to be used at the Bookfair. Approximately 476 individuals benefited.
