📣This year was DEFINITELY a year (long post alert)
In October 2025, CC stepped out on faith and went full-time. We’d been part-time while apprenticing and getting our feet under us, and the community we were in truly helped us flourish.
Not even two months later, we lost our sewing lab, access to materials and resources, and our creative community with the closure of Arrow Creative. 💀
We were devastated. And we had to go back to the drawing board on our business model, services, and offerings immediately.
We were worried: How would folks receive our updated offerings? Would they see the value of mobile alterations over a traditional studio? Was there even a desire for sewing classes in homes? Could we build partnerships for the group classes we planned to debut? Was it possible to find or create another community like the one we’d lost?
Turns out, the answer was YES!! 🥹
Y’all came to classes at the Brooks and Dixon, supported pop-ups at BSV, and cheered on my in (AND out-of-state collabs with Pile of Threads 😎) You introduced me around at Fashion Week, shared my info, recommended me to friends, and booked sewing classes and mobile alterations so consistently that we had to invest in new equipment and expand our availability 🙌🏾
I’m humbled and deeply grateful for the friends and clients who’ve stuck with us through the changes and the years. It can be tough out here for small business owners, and I truly couldn’t ask for a better community. 🫶🏾
So looking forward to serving you in 2026! ’Til next year, friends! 🥂
