It was so nice meeting , it's been a dream of mine to meet him, and he was alot nicer then I thought , a very humble and open person , In the talk the interviewer asked them if they had an " art critic stage persona" and whipped off her severe sunglasses and like the Joker said ," you want to know who I really am behind the mask ?" she contemplated for a second and then said ," I'm a really sweet person inside ,I'm a businesswoman and I'm more into Renaissance art " the ditzy and glamorous aspect to her was more of an act though it certainly held my friends attentions , I think they where laughing more then anyone else in the audience. When she said ," if our civilization was wiped out and a new one was started and there wasnt any art left other than (didnt hear the artirts name ) art dolls , they would think we're f@ #%% stupid . The was something about Jerry Saltz just being in the room that gave me more than one eureka future painting idea . I also loved how he said he is , “ a folk art critic” and that only the , “ the top 1% famous artists should be criticized, because he doesn't punch down.” “ that art criticism is less about the art theory that's found in artforum and more about bringing attention to emerging artists, not all if it is good , though there are little shifts in the works that seem novel” I asked him about his synesthesia like writings on Jasper John's ,his post-its and his writing process and he said , “ like Bob Dylan said where the music just comes to him , I feel the same way about writing” I feel that .
