Not in a million years did I think I’d ever be in a position where I couldn’t afford something my child needed.

That moment changed me forever.

Since that day, I’ve had a completely different relationship with money.

That day raised my standards in every area of my life. I started taking my health seriously, my business seriously, my mindset seriously… because I refuse to ever go back to that version of me.

That parking lot gave me one of the biggest lessons of my life.

And honestly… I’m grateful it did. ❤️

We grew up watching women put everyone else first.

Our grandmothers did it.
Our mothers did it.
They gave and gave until they were running on empty.

But what if that’s not the example we want to pass on?

Taking care of yourself is NOT selfish. It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give your family.

When you feel healthy, fulfilled, and emotionally well, you show up differently. You have more patience. More energy. More joy. More presence.

Your children don’t just listen to what you say. They watch how you treat yourself.

So invest in yourself. Protect your peace. Move your body. Chase your dreams. Fill your own cup.

The best version of you is the greatest gift you can give the people you love. 💓

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that having a child will fix a broken relationship.

It won’t.

A child doesn’t fix communication, trust, or unresolved issues. If anything, the stress, responsibility, and sleepless nights amplify what’s already there.

I’m not saying this to discourage anyone. I’m saying it because I think we need to be more honest about motherhood and relationships.

Don’t have a child hoping it will save the relationship.🫶

Your comeback starts the day you decide you don’t want to live in survival mode anymore.

For every woman, that day looks different.

For me, it took almost three and a half years. And honestly, I’m still a work in progress.

When my daughter was little, she needed me. That was my priority, and I gave myself grace for that season. But eventually, I got to a point where I looked at myself and thought, I don’t want to feel like this anymore.

My clothes didn’t fit. I didn’t feel strong. I didn’t feel healthy. I didn’t feel like me.

So I stopped waiting for motivation and started investing in myself.

First, I hired a nutrition coach because I needed someone to guide me. Then I bought a gym program from an online coach so I would stop walking into the gym wondering what to do. And in 2026, I stopped drinking alcohol completely.

None of it was easy. In fact, it was really hard.

But looking back, those were the first three decisions that started bringing me back to life.

Cheers! 🫶 Good vibes only! ✨

Nobody prepares you for the “TRANSITION”.

Before marriage and motherhood, I had my own business, my freedom, and a life that felt like me. I honestly believed getting married and having a baby would simply make that life even better.

Instead, I felt lost.

I loved my family deeply, but I didn’t recognize myself anymore. I thought I could do it all on my own…be the perfect wife, mom, business owner, and still somehow have energy left for myself.

I couldn’t.

And I know so many women silently carry that same weight.

If you’re in that season, please hear this: give yourself grace. This chapter is incredibly hard, especially in the beginning. Ask for help. Accept safe help. And remember… this season is temporary unless you decide to stay there.

Your comeback is waiting. 💓

Three and a half years later, I can now easily talk about the motherhood journey. As many of us, I was not ready for everything motherhood came with…

This series is about the unseen / unspoken parts of motherhood that for some reason it’s not spoked about…it’s going to be fun!😆
