Sad to hear about the demolition of Channel One Studio. A place that held the energy of so many legends like Horace Andy, Sly & Robbie and countless others who helped shape the sound of reggae and dub.
For about a year now, I’ve been receiving a vision for this design. I never imagined I would be releasing it at a time when the structure would no longer exist.
There’s something about the Dub Room doors that felt deeper than a doorway: a portal.
A passage into another frequency.
So I’m calling this the Channel 1 Portal Shirt. Made from organic h**p fibers. This piece is a tribute to a place that gave so much to music.
