We woke up to the news Tuesday morning that Uhaul has burned again. 75 days after the fire that destroyed one of our lockers and damaged three others. This time we don't think we will be anywhere near as lucky. Fire was in the building where we have our remaining four lockers. From what we can tell at least one of them probably caught on actual fire. What we're learning from the last recovery effort is that things stored inside a building filled with smoke might look ok, but are not ok. We're cancelling the April Overstock sale, and probably most of the rest of our appearances outside the shop for the remainder of the year. We had only just begun to dig into the recovery efforts from January, and now we're right back at square one and feeling quite lost.
We'd love to see you at the shop in the coming weeks, even if it's just to say hello. This has all been unbelievably difficult, and the one thing that helps to remind us why we do this, is seeing all of your wonderful smiling faces. 💖
