Soil quality is critical for growing fruit.
You can.....have the best seeds, ..be disciplined in watering,..and never grow the expected fruit.
Jesus gave us a beautiful example in the Parable of the Sower. The success of the seed was dependent on the ground where it fell.
We are the soil, friends. And like soil, we can be transformed and amended to produce fruit.
If we’re honest, sometimes our hearts look a lot like hardened soil. Distracted. Exhausted. Guarded. Overcrowded with worry, pressure, comparison, bitterness, control, or fear.
🌱We are the soil, friends.
👏And the beautiful thing is that soil can be transformed.
Through surrender to Jesus, He softens what’s become hard. He restores what’s depleted. Through the Holy Spirit, He cultivates fruit we could never manufacture on our own.
Maybe the question isn’t:
“Why am I not seeing fruit?”
Maybe the question is:
“What in my heart needs to be surrendered so fruit can grow?”
🙏Prayer tills the ground.
💫Worship restores depleted places.
⌚Time with God pulls weeds we didn’t even realize were choking growth.
Fruitful living isn’t achieved through striving.
It’s produced through abiding.
And when we stay rooted in Christ, the fruit will come. 🌱
“By their fruit you will recognize them.” — Matthew 7:20
