One of the biggest differences at Althea’s is that I personally choose the bras and lingerie carried in the boutique.

I attend lingerie trade shows in New York, work directly with vendors and industry professionals, and select pieces with real customers and real bodies in mind.

Because I also perform the fittings, I know which brands run differently, which styles work well for certain shapes, and which bras solve the problems women bring into the fitting room.

The person helping you find the right bra is also the person who decided that bra deserved a place in the store.

Kellie came in for bras.

And yes, she noticed the things I hope women notice when they come in: the range, the fit, the color, and the fact that bra shopping here **doesn’t** have to feel like punishment.

Because let’s be honest.

A lot of women would rather do almost anything else.

They put it off.
They keep wearing the tired bra.
They tell themselves it is “fine.”

Darling, if you are adjusting it 47 times a day, it is not fine.

But what stayed with Kellie was not just the bra shopping.

She noticed how I talked to other women in the store. She also noticed how I spoke with empathy about someone facing a serious health challenge.

That matters to me.

Because I have known women who have been through that. I have fitted women before surgery, after surgery, through weight changes, pregnancies, grief, aging, new confidence, lost confidence, and all the other things life does to a body.

This is a lingerie store, yes.

But it is also a place where women can say what is really going on, ask the awkward questions, and realize they are not the only one.

There is a shared respect in this little store.
Shared experiences.
And sometimes, yes, friendships are made here too.

Kellie said I go above and beyond.

I think that is simply what women deserve when they finally walk through the door.

How long have you been following my page?
A few months? A couple of years?
Long enough to
recognize the store before you have ever
walked through the door? A woman followed me for years before she finally came in.

She had seen the bras, the lingerie, and the stories. And like a lot of curvy women, she had gotten used to bra shopping being more frustrating than it should be.

Then she decided to find out whether this could be different.

I had her try several styles, because fit happens in steps. Each bra told me a little more, and I knew the right one was here.

And there it was.

A beautiful bra that fit the way it should—and made her genuinely excited.

Before she left, we talked about how to properly wash and care for her bras. Because a good fit matters, and so does knowing how to keep it that way.

Her review said, “I’m so glad I finally made a stop.”

That sentence caught my attention.

Because I know she is not the only woman who has been following my page for a long time and thinking about coming in.

Maybe you have been thinking about it long enough.

Some women come in looking for something gorgeous.

Some women come in because they are completely fed up with the bra they wear every day.

And plenty of women are looking for both.

Because the beautiful lingerie and the everyday bra are not competing with each other. They serve completely different purposes.

One might make you feel a little dangerous.

The other makes you want to throw every old bra in your drawer straight into the garbage.

And honestly? Women get just as excited about finding an everyday bra that fits beautifully as they do about finding the pretty thing.

As they should.

Support, comfort, shape—and something gorgeous too.

That sounds like a very good lingerie drawer to me.

Not every beautiful bra needs to make a grand entrance.

Some are quieter.

Soft color. Fine embroidery. Just enough detail to make you look twice.

These are delicate compared to some of the bolder pieces in the shop, but they are not plain.

There is a difference.

Sometimes you want color.
Sometimes you want drama.
And sometimes you want something beautiful, understated, and very well made.
