Long before the parades and festivals of Moss Oak Bay, there was an old legend whispered among the MOB Bears about a forgotten patriot bear who disappeared during the earliest days of the American Revolution.

According to the stories, he wasn’t a general, a politician, or a famous hero. He was just a rough young soldier who carried messages between camps, painted rebellion symbols on walls at night, and reminded exhausted fighters what they were standing for.

They called him “Fiddy” because no matter how little he had, he always split everything “fifty-fifty” with those around him. Years later, after the war ended, Fiddy vanished without a trace.

But every generation claims he somehow returns when the country feels divided, tired, or forgotten just to remind them of our strength.

In 2026, America’s 250th anniversary, strange murals began appearing around Moss Oak Bay. Red and white stripes dripped across alley walls. Blue stars covered abandoned buildings. The words “We The People” appeared overnight across the harbor district. Then came the sightings of a striped bear in black shades with paint-covered paws and a gold medallion stamped 1776–2026.

Whispers of the original patriot reborn flooded the streets, but there is no way that could be true, right? The young bears of Moss Oak Bay dubbed him as “2Fiddy” and the name stuck. He is the patriotic bear who reminds everyone that freedom was always meant to belong to all the people.

In Moss Oak Bay, there’s a special spot hidden between Graffiti Grove and Heartpatch Hollow where sunlight filters through old stained-glass pieces left behind by generations of artists.

One spring morning, after a rainstorm painted the sky with a rainbow, a tiny bear cub wandered into the grove. As the sunlight passed through the colorful glass, it scattered hundreds of colors across his fur.

The MOB bears named him Kaleido because every time someone looked at him, they noticed a new color or new pattern and a new way of seeing the world.

Kaleido loves art, music, stories, and meeting new friends. He believes everyone has something special to share, and he spends his days helping others discover their own unique colors.

When someone feels left out, Kaleido is the first to scoot over and make room. BWhen someone feels different, Kaleido reminds them that different is what makes the world interesting.

It may still be Mardi Gras in the bay but we would be remiss if we didn't take a minute to highlight one of our favorite bears. Lucky Dragon. He shows up once a year.

When the lanterns lit the sky…
When the drums began to echo…
When a new year stepped forward…

Lucky Dragon has arrived to shower us with luck in the upcoming year.

He comes carrying the ancient symbol of fortune (福) a reminder that every new year brings fresh blessings, fresh strength, and fresh chances to rise.

Meet Casanova Heartpaw, Moss Oak Bay’s most charming little troublemaker.

He shows up uninvited…Leaves roses where feelings got hurt…Winks like he knows exactly what happened…

…and somehow, broken hearts start mending wherever he goes.

Long ago, Casanova carried a magical heart meant to keep love strong across the Bay. But after helping too many hurting bears at once, his own heart cracked.

Instead of fading, it glowed even brighter.

Now he roams Moss Oak Bay stirring up just enough mischief to remind everyone:
