I’m finally ready to share the BIG news:

✨WE’VE MOVED✨

But don’t worry, the new shop isn’t too far away. Made by Hand is now operating out of the Garden City Plaza in Monroeville, right next to Meglio’s Pizza.

This move is HUGE. Not only is the new space larger, it’s ground level for easier access for my clients with mobility issues. Being a storefront I will also be able to offer regular walk-in hours (more info on that coming soon!).

And the best part of this move is that I can now pursue the other half of my dream for this business. Made by Hand was born from my love of the maker community, and so I’m ready to dive in and expand that community to more people. I will be starting up occasional workshops and classes in the new space, and I am working out the logistics of offering some craft/sewing notions in the future!

I’m so excited to open this new chapter and see what kind of season it brings! The new space is still appointment only for now, but please follow along for more updates about the shop!

A wrap on 2025!

Thank you to everyone who has supported my little business and trusted me with their garments and textiles ❤️

I’m beyond grateful for all of my customers (each one represented by one of these 61 little red tickets). When the shop I was sewing for closed last summer I was at a complete loss on what to do with my career. I was already doing some traveling alterations, so I decided to take the dive in to offering my own alterations full-stop—in a physical shop. This was a huge leap and I definitely built my wings on the way down. I couldn’t have imagined this much support and business in just a few short months, but there you all were asking me to help alter your clothes.

You’ve worn my work to weddings, New Year’s parties, birthdays, homecoming, and sometimes just in your everyday wardrobe.

I’m always learning every single day I come into this shop, but I am so happy to have the skills to offer my community a dying skill. Alterations build confidence for the wearer, prevent clothing waste, and help preserve treasured textiles.

I love what I do and I can’t thank you all enough for giving me the ability to keep on doing it ✌🏻

When the vibes don’t match but they work anyways 🖤🤍

I don’t like to wear “nice” clothes on days where I’m doing a lot of actual sewing work!

Why?

Because I’m more ok with my sweats getting covered in glitter and thread scraps than my nicer clothes 😅
