During Hurricane Helene, the Treutlen County Emergency Management Agency learned valuable lessons about preparedness and finding new ways to better serve and protect the citizens of Treutlen County.
Today, our team completed training on our new drone system a tool that will assist all emergency services, including EMA, Fire, Law Enforcement, and EMS, in responding more effectively during emergencies.
Shortly after training, the drone was immediately put to use during a wildfire in the county, helping crews locate hot spots and monitor how far the fire had progressed.
Treutlen EMA will always strive to be prepared for any emergency and continue looking for better ways to protect property, serve our community, and save lives. 🚁🔥
