So... using the same three tier, galvanized metal, super cute, on point, trendy with potential to be stylish for years to come, centerpiece.... ALL I did was remove my beautiful fall pumpkins and other fall goods, and swapped them out for some brilliant, festive red sprays that I fell in love with after Christmas one year while shopping the major discounts, to clear out Christmas Sale! I practically stole this stuff it was marked down so low at 90 percent off!!!

It’s decorating highend on a pint size budget.... that’s what it’s all about! Organic pumpkins, and gourds! I found these at Trader Joe’s for .65 cents each. I especially love the ones that have the most color and texture, and the tiny white pumpkins are just so cute! I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face as I was plucking them out of the baskets at the market. I probably looked like a kid in a candy store. 🤓

Shopping tip:

Before I go anywhere to make a purchase for my home, rather it be furniture, baskets, mirrors, lamps - no matter what it is, and especially if it’s a high dollar item, I always like to see if I can find it lightly used for less on FB market place first!

The rule of thumb I use to gage pricing on any used item is the same across the board - half the price of retail value, and only if it’s in like new condition. The more wear and tear on the item, the more you can deduct (in your head of course), and then you can make an offer. Always offer less than what the seller has listed, it doesn’t do any harm to ask or negotiate the final price.

Also, make sure there is no animal urine on whatever your purchasing! I always just come right out and ask, because, YES.... I have made this mistake before, and the smell does NOT go away no matter how much scrubbing you do. Story: I bought a vintage record cabinet that was so cool! I had great plans, until I went to clean it, as I do all my pieces, and inside the cabinet, once I opened the doors the horrid smell of cat p*e was obvious, very prominent and no matter what I did I could not get rid of the smell. I was super bummed and wasted $12.00 dollars... I had to throw it away! Don’t be a victim like me... just ask! If they get offended... you can always share my story.

This was my walk back to my car from my doctors appointment today. Light breeze outdoors, only 75 degrees, sun shine, with clear blue skies.... absolutely beautiful and inspiring kind of day. I found these out laying around and fell instantly in love. The season for dry goods decor is here! I never purchase what nature can give me.... I prefer my pine cones to be organic! These are just a few I picked up... they are beautiful!

Closet Reno complete! Another project under the belt and getting organized feels so good!

So I found this second hand entertainment center and instantly had the vision of exactly how I was going to use it in my closet. Yes, I said closet. My husband thought I was crazy, and after about 1 minute of arguing he decided it wasn’t worth the battle and let me buy it for $40 bucks (in case you missed that on my last post). How... could I pass this up! You have to buy when the price is right and the creative juices are flowing.

This was one of the easiest, not to mention CHEAPEST, repurpose renos I may have ever done and the pay off was huge! This entertainment center turned organized closet system fit like a charm and maximized the use of our small closet space. (Keep in mind this is a rental property and we will live here for the next 4 years only).

One thing that I love about it... it’s husband, user friendly! All I did was... purchase fabric storage boxes for the cubbies, they fit perfectly on all four sides, so this way I can not see the contents inside, and he can shove his stuff in it all he wants... and I wont have to see any of it! Although just knowing it’s there may still drive me nuts! 🤓

We made the best out of the space we are renting, and I love the way our new closet looks! ❤️
