Inspired by the style and values of Ivey's grandmothers, Shirley Ellsworth and Marilyn Brown, the brand was born in 2012 out of the idea of "my grandmother and me". Ivey seeks to take the classic, iconic styles of her grandmother's generation and redesign them for today's modern woman. The Ellsworth & Ivey cape draws upon the timeless designs of vintage dress capes and adds a modern feel with pockets, bold color choices and detailing. The capes are available in two sizes and are carefully crafted to flatter all different types of the female form.
