There’s something really special about seeing one of my older knit designs come back to life again.
I’m excited to share that I’ll be slowly adding knitting patterns to the new Selah Wool website, and the very first pattern is now live — the Spark Sweater.
It features a simple intarsia color block design and relaxed fit.
I’m looking forward to sharing more patterns, yarns, and behind-the-scenes pieces of the process as Selah Wool continues to grow.

A little behind the scenes 🤍
Before I even step into the dye studio, there’s a lot of quiet experimentation that happens first.
I start by exploring color—working with raw, undyed yarn and building acid dye mixes inspired by Pantone colorways. Once a direction feels right, I find the closest Pantone match and use Pantone Connect to pull the LAB values.
LAB is a color system that describes a color in three parts:
L for lightness, A for green-to-red, and B for blue-to-yellow—essentially a way to define color more precisely than what we see on screen.
From there, I use ChatGPT to help translate those values into an acid dye recipe. It’s not perfect, but it gets me very close.
Still experimenting, still learning—and that’s part of the process I love.

Welcome to Selah Wool Co. 🤍
Selah means to pause—to breathe—to be fully present.
This space was created for those who love the quiet rhythm of making. Each skein is hand-dyed in small batches with intention, designed to bring a sense of calm to your knitting.
I’m so glad you’re here.

On my needles right now is the September Sweater Junior by PetiteKnit, worked in brioche stitch.

Hello and welcome 🤍
I’m Amanda—the knitwear designer and hand-dyer behind Selah Wool Co.
Selah began from a desire to slow down and create something meaningful with my hands. What started as a quiet, personal practice of dyeing yarn has grown into a small-batch studio rooted in intention, craftsmanship, and a love for natural fiber.
Here, you’ll find hand-dyed wool yarns, new colorways, and glimpses into the process behind each skein. My hope is that this space inspires you to slow down, create, and enjoy the rhythm of making.
Thank you for being here—it truly means a lot.
— Amanda
