Sometimes in life, you see a quilt pattern that immediately makes you think of someone special. This quilt was made for a coworker who is moving away, and each of us signed it as a reminder that no matter where life takes her, she’ll always have a piece of us with her. Wishing her all the best on her new adventure! We’ll miss you!

One of my favorite things is making memory quilts. I was handed 3 bags with 30 tshirts each. These 3 siblings all wanted a quilt made and this is the final products.

One of our beloved friends passed away a few years ago, leaving behind a space that can never truly be filled. In his memory, I’ve been creating a series of quilts for his family each one a small way of honoring his life, warmth, and the love he shared with those around him.
This is the final quilt in that series. It’s been a labor of love, stitched with care, memories, and a lot of heart. I hope it brings comfort, and serves as a gentle reminder that he is never far from our thoughts.

Rrats Nest has been hard at work lately!
I recently took a class and learned how to make the Atomic Starburst quilt and I’m so happy with how it turned out!

This design was such a fun challenge, and I loved bringing it to life with my own fabric choices and style. Quilting has definitely become a labor of love around here!

As a quilter, I'm most comfortable with straight lines, symmetry, and realistic colors—so this collage project really pushed me out of my comfort zone. But stepping into something more abstract turned out to be so rewarding. I love the energy and freedom in the final piece, and I’m proud of how it turned out!
